3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping.
Reverse Engineering 3D have a state of the art Stratasys Polyjet 3D printer onsite in daily use. Maximum single build size is 300 x 200 x 150 mm in eight different materials and very high detail and resolution. Our point clouds are created by Nikon 3D Laser Scanners and these devices measure millions of points on the surface of an object which is output as a .XYZ file. Using the CMM laser scanner we can achieve an accuracy of +/- 1.9 microns with a resolution of 22 microns and our Portable laser scanner has an accuracy of +/- 54 microns with a resolution of 100 microns. Once the point cloud data has been fused into a mesh we use Nikon’s Focus Inspection software to align the gathered object data to the original 3D CAD file. Click here..

From human hair to full size car, we operate a portable laser scanning service using our Nikon MCAx+ articualted arm and the Model Maker MMDx100 portable laser scanner which is accurate to +/- 54 microns or better.
